Today we received a package in the mail containing Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, Beowulf: The Legend, and Isla Dorada. These games will be great for some of our older gamers! A big thanks goes out to Fantasy Flight Games for shipping these out to us.

We just received a wonderful donation from Gamewright and would like to send them a big thanks!

We’ve already got a copy of Rory’s Story Cubes, and now we can expand upon that set with Rory’s Story Cubes Actions! These 9 dice have icons depicting the most important verbs when developing language.

Hello, everyone. We just figured we’d give a quick update to say that we won’t be holding a gaming day this month. December is a crazy time for everyone, so we’ll be holding our next event in January. Keep an eye peeled for our December newsletter going out soon with more information and a solid date and time.

A really big thanks goes out to Sifteo, for donating a starter pack and 3 extra Sifteo cubes!

We’ve got some big plans for incorporation these cubes into our social groups by using games already developed for them, and eventually developing some of our own!

A big thanks to Daniel Solis over at Smart Play Games for donating copies of Do: Pilgrims of the Flying Temple and Happy Birthday Robot! to our game library.

Both of these storytelling games will be a great addition to our programs, and I look forward to sharing these with kids and coming up with all sorts of interesting tales.

Located in Simsbury, Connecticut, Across the Board is dedicated to providing opportunities for building social communication skills through use of table top games. We strive to provide an accepting environment for children to explore new games and use those games as tools to strengthen social communication skills. This is an opportunity for children to strengthen areas of weakness, build on their strengths, and build self confidence enabling them to be more successful in a social setting.
